In anticipation of their nuptials the following day, Susan & Henry decided to be ADVENTUROUS and join me for a fun, casual...and maybe a bit CRAZY...photo shoot at the beach! They wanted dramatic images that captured their spirit and their love for each other in a beautiful, scenic location. We had a BLAST! ;-)

How did you backlight this photo? Lights on beach and angle?
- Bill
Hi Bill! I placed an SB800 flash on an aluminum stand (important that it's aluminum to avoid rust from the salt water later) in the water right behind them. The flash is just above the level of the rolling waves. It was triggered at 1/16th power by a Radio Popper. And I added a little fill-flash with an SB900 on the camera. PLEASE don't tell Cami I get my gear THIS close to the water!!! :-)
Dear Chris,
You rock.
Sincerely,
Jebb
love it!
Incredible stuff Chris... very much enjoyed.

Your wedding day looked perfect! and you are a beautiful couple!!! Congratulations!!!!!
- Carol
Chris, one of the coolest, most original pictures I have ever seen (middle one). Certainly should be entered in some kind of photograph contest.
-Dale
Like everyone else, I love the light on this (middle) one! Way to risk the equipment for the shot!!!
-Bill
Thanks for all the love, everyone! Bill, I think next time I'll bring a couple zip-loc baggies to stuff my flash in if I do this again...it was quite nerve wracking since the flash was literally just a few inches above the waves! :-)
A-w-e-s-o-m-e, Chris! Especially the one with the flash, you really took a chance on that, haha! Love it!
