ESPN arrived to day to begin their coverage of the tournament. And they had the crowd all staged behind them to get their "Opening Shot" while Cliff Drysdale & Mary Joe Fernandez made their opening remarks and spoke with guest and former champion, Conchita Martinez. I covered the event by putting my D3 and super-wide 14-24 f2.8 on top of my monopod, stretching it about 12 feet off the ground with a remote control, and getting this overview that includes the Family Circle Cup banner above the crowd for context. Here's a couple close-ups as well so you can see the stars better. :-)
