The Alamo at Dusk

OK, OK...I got a few requests for a shot of The Alamo. I guess when you tell someone you visited "San Antonio", that's what everyone thinks of. :-) Anyway, here's my interpretation of "The Alamo at Dusk". It's actually pretty cool inside. They have old muskets that Crockett used and some knives made famous by Bowie. If you ever get a chance, make sure and visit! VERY COOL!!!

Remember the Alamo! That is a great shot! The sky is such a pretty blue! I have been there once, a long time ago. Such a neat place! Hope you enjoyed your travels there! :)

Glad you like it, Kim! It truly was EXCITING to stand on that spot and think about the history that was made there. The sky was actually pretty dark when I got there that night. But I had a tiny little 8-inch Bogen tripod that I carry when I go sightseeing. I laid flat on the ground and set the camera on the tripod so I could use a really long shutter speed. That's how I brought back that deep blue color in the sky.

Hey, Chris and Cami - this is your cousin Charline in Denton TX. Love what I've read so far, and the pics are FABULOUS. What a clever couple you are, AND you play tennis on top of that! Chris, I guess you began playing with your dad???

P.S. from cousin Charline. I was actually born in San Antonio at the Santa Rosa Hospital, just down the road from the Alamo. And, yesterday, the 1st of Feb, I turned 60!!! Oh, my, did I really let the cat out of the bag???

Hi Charline! I had NO IDEA you were born there...pretty COOL! Just remember that I firmly believe you're only as old as you FEEL...in which case you're still just a full-of-life-18-year-old, right?!? ;-)
